New Moves celebrates ten years of shipping the wildest elements of the international dance scene into some of Glasgow's trendier arts venues with a bumper birthday programme. Continuing its relationship with Tramway. the festival dives into opening night with a return visit from Dutch partners Truss Bronkhorst and Marian Jongewaard who scored a New Moves hit last year with the truly uplifting Wonderful World. This time they bring an entourage of seven male dancers for a new piece about the complicated nature of friendship.
Mal Pelo Sat 1 Mar. 8pm. £7 (£4). Spanish company Mal Pelo return to Glasgow for the first time since I992 with the Scottish premiere of a new piece La Calle Del lmaginem (Street Of The Image-Maker). Venezuelan/Canadian dancer Navas bring his unique on-stage charisma to New Moves for the second time in his career. Since his last visit in l994 he's picked up the Oscar of the dance world. the Bessie (New York Dance And Performance Award) for his interpretation of the solo While Waiting.
