Young. trendy. short- haired. vest-wearing dance from London- based Ricochet. known for its democratic policy of letting the dancers choose the choreographers. The talented company is back in Scotland for a mini-tour with two new works premiered last fortnight in Edinburgh. First tip is Trending The Night Plain by thinking person‘s choreographer. Rosemary Lee. The second piece. by Venezuelan choreographer Javier De Frutos is a quirky. jerky number. performed to Stravinsky‘s dark. manic Les Notes. The two are beautifully danced. but offer little light relief.
