Restaurant reviewers
Following the success of our previous editions. this year‘s Eating & Drinking Guide, to he published on 3 April. will feature expanded coverage of restaurants. cafes and pubs in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
We are looking for contributors with extensive experience of eating out. to review selected restaurants in both cities during February. Reviewers will he allowed to dine with a partner free of charge at each restaurant reviewed. and will receive a small fee for each review. but will he expected to pay for drinks.
Applicants should demonstrate their knowledge of current trends in the restaurant world. as well as their ability to write lively and informative copy. by submitting two sample reviews. each ISO-200 words long. plus c.v. to:—

THE COTTIER THEATRE
Resident Technician Initial 6 month contract
The Cottier Theatre is a pioneering theatre space in the West End of Glasgow with a mixed programme of theatre, music, dance and opera. We are looking for a qualified theatre technician with at least one year’s experience of stage management, sound and lighting in a theatre or arts centre to run the full programme of shows at this 350 seat theatre.
The contract will start at the end of January till July with a possible extension to December 1997. Salary is negotiable according to experience but is likely to be around £800 per month.

Immediate vacancy for an experienced and creative professional to join one of the world’s great arts events. The post holder has responsibility for the management and implementation of the marketing and press operations of the Festival throughout the year, as well as managing a large team of seasonal temporary staff. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Public Affairs, the successful applicant will have at least four years relevant experience, including management skills, preferably in an arts environment.
