I Encounters: The Beast 0t Bardia (Channel 4) 8—9pm. Towards the end of the 80s reports began to emerge from the forests of northern Nepal of an enormous beast which was larger than any other known Asian elephant. Dr Adrian Lister led a party into the forests of Bardia to solve the mystery. Lister believes that the animal is in fact a throwback to the prehistoric Elephus Hysudricus. last seen on earth two million years ago.
