Witness Glasgow as you’ve never seen it before. as four venues around the city are transformed by light. sound. bubbling kinetic devices and embedded objects cast in glass. Organised by Independent Public Arts. and devised by Stephen Skrynka and Peter McCaughey. the event lasts two weeks. but look out for ‘something special' happening on the following dates: Sauchiehall Street (22 Mar); Great Western Road (24 Mar); Merchant City (27 Mar) and Central Station/Hope Street (30 Mar). Visions Of Spain Until I4 Apr. Considered to be one of the finest groups of Spanish paintings in Britain. this collection of over 30 works by the likes of Goya. El Greco and Velasquez will leave the walls of Pollok House and take up temporary residence at The Burrell Collection while the former Maxwell home undergoes repairs.

The Handpainted 0 Until 20 Apr. Dublin artist Maurice O'Connell attempts to create the perfect ltandpainted letter O over a 32-day period in the gallery. producing a staggering 60.000 in total. Real Lite Rocky Mountain Until 20 Apr. Artist Ross Sinclair endeavours to recreate his own personal Scottish mountainside. complete with tree trunks. rockface and cave. and turns history on its head by re-populating his plot in ‘The Highland Clearances In Reverse‘.

Opening Glasgow's new gallery opens its doors to the world on Sat 30 March. with four floors ofdisplays in a variety of media. including works by Howson. Hockney. Campbell. Bellany and Byrne. as well as interactive exhibits. Each floor represents one of the four elements: Earth. Air. Fire and Water. and exhibitions will reflect (however tenuously) the level on which they're situated. There‘s also a swish new cafe. decorated by Glasgow- born artist Adrian Wiszniewski.
