Minority Ethnic Projects

Grants to encourage the development and promotion of minority ethnic arts for projects involving a range of artists working in the performing arts plus other art forms.

Crafts

Northlands Creative Glass Conference and Workshop

Grants to those seeking assistance to attend the above conference and workshop. To be held in Lybster from 16 to 20 September 1996. Closing date: 30 April 1996.

Dance

Choreographic Development Award

ASSistance for initial choreographic development of an indiVidual’s or company's work Without the pressure of public performance. Closing date: 22 March 1996.

Dance Bursaries

ASSistance to profesSionaIs working in dance in Scotland to under- take short-term or part-time training, or a period of study, to extend their skills.

Closing date: 22 March 1996.

Scottish Traditions of Dance

Support for reSIdenCies, workshops and other proiects aimed at promoting and passing on skills Within traditional dance. Closing date: 22 March 1996.

Drama and Mime

Mime Bursaries

Bursaries to enable performers to make use of training opportunities in mime to improve and extend their skills. Closing date: 7 May 1996.

Training and Travel Bursaries: Drama

Bursaries to enable theatre practitioners to extend their expertise in speCific areas of work through attendance at short-term or part-time c0urses, a period of study or a speCiaI proiect.

Closing date: 13 May 1996.

Music

Early Music Projects

Support for training, marketing and other initiatives which Will enhance the performance and awareness of early mUSIC in Scotland. Closing date: 12 April 1996.

Creative Artists’ Bursaries

Bursaries to indiVidual creative artists working in different mu5ical styles (cIaSSical, Jazz, traditional etc) to develop their work. Closing date: 12 April 1996.

Recordings

Assistance to recording companies, music organisations and individuals towards the artistic costs incurred in making high quality recording of musm by Scottish composers.

Closing date: 12 April 1996.

Performing Material Subsidy

Assistance to composers With the cost of preparing materials necessary for the performance of their work, such as copying, reproduction and studio costs.

Closing dates: Last working day of each calendar month.

Visual Arts I ndividuals

Small Assistance Grants to Individual Artists

Grants of up to £750 to asSist artists With the smaller, more immediate costs involved in creating and presenting their own work. Closing date: 5 April 1996.

British School at Rome SAC Scholarship

An award to enable an artist to develop his/her creatiVity by haVing the opportunity to live and work in the British School at Rome for a period of 7 months.

Closing date: 26 April 1996.

Organisa tions/ Groups

Touring Franchise

A substantial franchise. awarded over two years, to a collaboration between visual arts organisations for the production of a major touring exhibition of Visual art to be presented in Scotland in 1997- 98. Initial research costs of up to £1000 may be awarded.

Closing date: 1 April 1996.

Exhibitions and Projects

Grants to encourage and support innovative exhibitions and other Visual proiects through support for research fees, proiect costs. touring costs, critical writing and educational events.

Closing date: 1 April 1996.

Travel and Training Grants

Grants to aSSist profeSSionals working in the Visual arts to travel Within Scotland and internationally for speCific purposes related to their work.

Applications considered throughout the year.
