Phactfile

llory Weller puts another groover and shaker through her paces.

I llame Sister Bliss. I Sex Female. oh yes.

I Occupation One half of the remix team (the other being Rollo) responsible fora ridiculous amount of choons in hardbag DJs record boxes.

I Hardbag? Yup. it‘s the musical genre half way between the full-on hands in the air handbag house and techno.

I So what does she do? She‘s- a classically trained musician with an extensive back catalogue of house records, and has had a hand in some ofthe most memorable club anthems ofthe last year. The remix of Living Joy's ‘Dreamer‘ ptlt the energy hack into its second re—release and her 95 edition of Donna Summer's classic ‘1 Feel Love‘ still punts crowds into states of podium—hogging bliss.

I She produces as well? As .1 producer ~ someone who composes and puts together songs —» she has created a series of BIG dancetioor smashes. The songs she co-wrilcs are the club equivalent to film themes. When you Come out of a club at the end of the night the songs ingrained in your ecstatic psyche will be the ones she has written.

I Such as? Sister Bliss's solo tracks ‘Can'tgetaman Can'tgetajob (Life's a Bitch)‘. ‘()h What A World'. ‘Rollo Goes Camping‘. ‘Rollo Goes Mystic’ and ‘Salva Mea‘.

I So who’s this Rollo chap? Rollo is her main time studio partner and rumours (from Duncan the Ark‘s promoter) are that their relationship extends beyontfthe platonic record platters. He. a philosophy graduate. runs Cheeky records which releases a fair chunk of their output.

I And she 0.15 too? What a gal Her Technic-tastic skills were brought to national acclaim with the Pop 'l‘artz album where she joined Boy George. Mark Moore and Al Mackenzie ~~ artists who also DJ.

I Is there no end to her talents? Apparently not.

Sis/(1r Bliss is guest 1)] a! The .‘ll'k in The Tunnel. (i/ttxgmv ()IZ Friday 26 January.
