Haydn wrote the cantata The Battle oftlte Nile to showcase Lady Hamilton's musical talents. In this dratnatised recital evening (devised and directed by Kate Brown). Lady Hamilton sings the piece along with Haydu's settings of Seots songs and Arianna a Nat'os. Soloists are Sarah-.1 ane Dale (Emma) and Mike Shannon (Sir William). with SEMC instrumentalists Sarah Bevan-Baker (violin). Alison McGillivray (cello) and John Kitchen (fortepiano). The Cattach Consort will play 16th and 17th century Scottish music in the foyer from 7—7.20pm.

, name comes from an anglicisation of the
French arousmatique. which means
