Turner Watercolours Until 31 Jan. The annual airing of this celebrated collection. bequeathed to the Gallery by Henry Vaughan in 1900. Vaughan stipulated that the paintings only be shown in January. claiming the works would be harmed by harsh light during the rest of the year.

Lewis Chess Pieces Until 14 Jan. Found buried in a sand dune on the west coast of Lewis. these 12th century chess pieces carved from walrus tusks are the largest of their kind in Europe.
