I Helter Skelter at The Venue. llpm--3am. £3 (£2.50). Long-serving rock/indie/70s/funk/kitsch night. Started in I988. the night still has the original DJ. I Ignorance is Bliss at The Arena. llpm—3am. £5 (£3). New night featuring the talents of DJ Steve (R.G.'s) and Christian Buguzzi playing the harder sounds of house. All drinks £1.50.
I love Bug at The Garage. 10.30pm~3attt. £3 (£2). Commercial dance with DJ Graeme.
I Mean Streets at The l3th Note (basement). Spot—midnight. Free. The club that ably charts the history of rock and roll from lilvis to Portishead.
I Nightmares 0n Wax at Glasgow School of Art (upstairs). 9.30pm—Iate. £6 (£5). 24 Nov only. Rub a Dub records present a full live show from Nightmares on Wax plus their own DJs Martin and Wilba. R.A.l).'s Mark will also be playing hip hop downstairs in the Vic Bar.
I Parklife at Rooftops. l0.30pm—3am. £3.50 (£3). The original post-mod club
still playing the Britpop you love. Drinks promos. Look out for the Parklife club card to reward regular attenders.
I Phar Out at Glasgow School of Art. 9.30pm—late. £2.50. ‘A smokin' night of eclectic black music‘ sponsored by Dr Jives and Stussy. Deep dub and drum and bass. Resident DJ Paul Cawley isjoined every week by guest DJs Nick Peacock. Marc from R.A.D. or Colin from Bomba. I Radio City iii The Attic. 10.30pm—3am. £3 (£2). The original retro club. packed out every week. Stax. Motown. Stones. Who etc.
I Reds llpm-3am. £5 (£3 for students before midnight). Easy-going mix of disco. funk. hip hop and rap. Stuart and intimate club with art affable clientele.
I Shag at Fury MurTy's. llpm—3am. £4 (£3). Maintaining the legacy of the traditional student night. a rare species today.
I Sin at Rhapsody I lpm—3am. £5 (£3). All drinks £1.50. Derrick and Sam Wallace playing ‘a mixed bag ofheavenly house‘ to a principally commercial crowd. I Slam at The Arches. 10.30pm—3am. £7. Still keeping the momentum going. Slain is one of the few clubs ill Glasgow that is working on a truly national level. Underground. upfront. technologically- minded dance music from Stuart and ()rde.
I Soundclash at The l3th Note (ground floor). Rpm—midnight. Free. Long-running listening experience based around heavy dub rhythms and quality techno.
I Sweet AS at The Volcano. llpm—2.30am. £5 (£3). DJ Alan Ronalds. the long time resident Volcano DJ with mainstream dance. rap. furtk and pop.
I The Tuxedo Princess 9pm—3am. £4 (£3). No curfew. The Future management present the Future DJ team with a night of mainstream techno. Bud £1.50 all night. I Urban Wolf at Glasgow School of Art (upstairs). l()pm—late. £5 (£4). l7 Nov only. The Flow collective present the continuation of their Urban Wolf drum and bass excursions with all the visual trappings usually associated with Flow.
