This week sees Network 23 (members of Spiral Tribe) blowing up big style at Scotland's most furious and innovative hardbeat night. alongside the usual blend of Chicago house. white noise. drum and bass and metallic techno. The Massive Bereavement sound system controls the underground electronic side of things. whilst Thee Process segues dub and ambient grooves to chill out to. Four sound systems. art installations. live MCs and percussion. As ever. don't miss the drummers!
I Sole Fusion at The Vaults. llpm -3am. £5 (£4). 2 Nov. Fortnightly. Pioneering garage night giving people a chance to hear real house music not the manufactured. commercial pap of its rivals. ()pen your mind. and let Craig Smith and Mikey Stirton educate and entertain. with jazzy. hard-edged underground US house and nu-soul. Chill- out in the back room with 70s and 80s soul. electro and salsoul spun by Sugar Ray and Styler (aka The Cricket Club). This is the true flava of house (without a handbag in sight). A serious night out. Highly recommended.

More hard. progessive house than garage. with a hint of mad acid bubbling under the surface. Watch out for a forthcoming visit from acid house pioneers 808 State in December. Should be massive. Worth the effort.

Sister club Mi5 (alternate Saturdays at The Attic) is equally worth checking out. I Fiesta Latina at Teviot Row Student Union. 9.30pm—2am. £2.50 (£l.50 members). Second last time for this hugely popular Latin club night. featuring a mixture of salsa. meringue and hip hop. Has seen nights with well over 400 people. Check it out.
