Spanning two centuries, six generations of artists and four floors of Edinburgh’s City Art Centre is a vast exhibition of Danish art, the first of its kind to visit Britain. Starting at the Golden Age, visitors are taken on a journey that spans Impressionism to Abstract Expressionism finally arriving at what the shows curators call the ‘contemporary contemporary’ room. As well as painting, there’s also an impressive array of ceramics, glass and silverware.
