I Occupation? DJ, producer, dance consultant and journalist. I Ooh, that’s a new one, a DJ who writes, tell me more. He created Project X Magazine (New York) in ’89 and has been music editor since its conception. He also writes for other organs including: Update USA. Urb and XLR8R.
I And dance consultant, haven't heard that one beiore either. Yeah, he’s been on the Billboard Dance Panel since ’91 for his innovative and progressive ear for music. He also contributes to the Billboard Dance chart.
I Innovative and progressive ear for music? He was one of the first US DJs to pick up on the acid house explosion in the 805, and was at the forefront of techno and trance in the 905.
I lley, a bit oi a mover and a shaker. Yes indeedy, his massive underground status earned him the privilege of being the first DJ to release a Superstar Journeys by DJ compilation tape in the autumn of last year. He’s also one of the special guest DJs travelling. with. Renaissance on their forthcoming tour.

Are you really going to say he’s a bad DJ? The undisputed WBC Super Middleweight Champion oi the world iiigel Benn is now trying to master the beatmix. What started as a way oi unwinding during training and between tights three years ago has now become a major part of his liie; a venture which he believes will eventually be his permanent vocation when it comes to hanging up the gloves.
A Ilielong music lover and co-owner oi london record shop Catch-a- oroove, Benn has been training on the decks with some of the world’s top Dis: Tony Humphries, Benii Candelario and 0.! Macintosh. He claims to have more iriends in the club scene than in the boxing world, who are impressed by the amount oi time he puts into practising (never less than five hours a day he says).
