The Links Project is a short-stay residential service for drug users with 12 beds. The Project is based in Leith and operates a Lothian wide catchment area. It offers residents options for stabilisation and detoxification. Links Project staff provide 24 hour cover on a 12 hour shift basis. We are seeking to appoint a Senior Project Worker.
SENIOR PROJECT WORKER (£15,624 - £17,325) NJC POINT 28 31
Senior Project Workers are part of a multi-disciplinary team of 23. They are responsible for providing leadership, support and supervision to a team of workers and for ensuring the guidelines and working practices of the Project are adhered to. In the absence of the Management Team they are expected to take management responsibility for the Project. An appropriate qualification, organisational skills and leadership ability as well as previous experience of working with drug users are essential.
HALLS omen (TEMPORARY) Salary £13,299 - £14,637
A vacancy exists with the Community Halls Section of the Recreation Department for a Halls Officer to supervise the efficient running of Edinburgh District Council's local venues — Portobello Town Hall, Church Hill Theatre, The Ross Theatre, Roseberry Hall, South Oueensferry, Thomas Morton Hall and Leith Theatre.
The successful candidate will have had previous managerial responsibility supervising stan and dealing directly with the general public. Applicants must be effective communicators, have proven organisational skills and be able to work on their own initiative without direct supervision. The Halls Officer must passes the ability to motivate a team offering direction to staff to improve the service offered to our customers. Applicants should therefore have a commitment to providing a high level of customer care to Halls users.
