I Friday the 26 May will see Scotland kick off against the Ivory Coast in their opening match of the Rugby World Cup in South Alrica. Over the following eight days they play Tonga and then France. Roy Laidlaw, former Scotland scrum-halt and now part of the team’s coaching squad, reckons that the boys in blue should have few problems with their first two games but sees our Gallic counterparts as something of a threat. The team have been preparing for the tournament since last July and are currently in Spain trying to build up some resistance to the fierce heat and humidity
they will encounter in Africa.
Scotland’s three matches will be broadcast live on SW on Fri 26 at 3pm,Tue 30 at
6.50pm and Sat 3 at 4pm.
