I 40 Watt Club at Glasgow School of Art. 7.30pm—10pm. Free. Lindsey of Tankin‘ gently warms up the weekend with a laid back dub. funk. jazz and electronic ambient evening.

lOBanus 10.30pm—4am. £6. DJ Paul Mulholland playing commercial dance. I Bar 10 ()pin—inidnight. Free. A laid back (but very loud) soul-based set from Stevie Donaldson with various guests dropping in from week to week.
I Bennet’s 11pm—4am. £4. Busy gay night with DJ Sara.
I Bounce at The Tuxedo Princess. 9pm—4am. £6 (£3 before 10pm. £5 after 10pm with llyer). No curfew. Techno hardcore.
I The Cathouse 10pm—4am. £3.50 (£3 with ticket). Well respected rock- orientated night in Studio 2. with Rubber Soul in Studio 1 and Katch in Studio 3.
I Cleopatra’s 10.30pm—2.30am. £6. Disco. chart and mainstream with DJ Davie Johnston.
I Club Xchaoge 1 lprn—«lam. £4. Gay. brash. trashy and fun as ever. Happy Hour 11pm—l2.30am. all drinks £1.25 and Beck’s promotion all night.
I Cool lemon at Glasgow School of Art. 10pm—late. £7 (£5). 23 Dec only. Paterson and Price are joined by Harri for a special Christmas iced lemon.
I Cream at Reds. Strathclyde University Student Union. 9pm—2am (doors close 1am). £l. Students and guests. Steven Watt of Mo Jazz on a commercial funk and hip hop tip.
I oelrnonicas 9pm—close. Free. DJ Stella with a chart dance mix.
I Ferry Love Boutique At The Ferry. 9pm—2am. Fri 30 Dec only. Price tbc. Drag yourself on board for the last Love Boutique of the year. Very special guests to be announced soon. Note. there will be no Love Boutique in January.
I Fluid at R.G.'s. Spin—midnight. Free. The best in garage and house from DJ Kevin.
I Friday at the Cotton Club 10pm—4am. £4 (£2.50 with matn'c card). A lush mix of happy sounds packing the place week after week. 16 Dec. special ta-ra for the students involving contemporary ceildh band Redwud for the first hour.
I Funky Monkey at The Volcano. 10.30pm—2.30am. £5 (£3). Packed night of mainstream dance. rap. funk and pop with DJ Alan Ronald.
I Helter Skelter at The Venue. 10.30pm-4am. £3 (£2.50). Long-serving rock/indie/70s/funk/kitsch night. Started in 1988. the night now re-launches itself with the original DJ every week.
I Hipster at Blackfriars Underground. 8pm—close. Free. Martin Gavin of Goodfoot fame with ajazz. funk and soul pre-club.
I Katch at The Cathouse. Studio 3. 10pm—4am. £3. The Katch boys peddling their blend of indie/studenty/gotxl time vibes. A11 drinks £1.50.
I love Bug at The Garage. 10.30pm—4am. £3 (£2). Takes the place of Big Deal and has much the same music policy. Entry to Lovebug also lets you investigate the Attic where the original Radio City will be plying its retro trade.
I love and Life 11pm—4am. £5. Mel Barr. Bobby Bluebell and guests with a wide mix of commercial house. 16 Dec. Michael Watford exercises his vocal chords whilst international top DJ Disciple mixes tip the rest of the night (£8).
I llicos 9pm-midnight. Free. Matt and Tom with a mix of soulful house.
I Parklife at The Arena. 1 1pm—4am. £3.50 (£2.50). Post Mod club playing the best of Brit pop from the 60s onwards plus film footage on video screens. Getting busy. with a hard core of loyal fans.
I Phat as Phuck at The Arena. 10.30pm—3am. 6 Jan only. P.A.P. Records (Huddersfield) party. Hosted by the So team who put together Sunday nights at The Arena.
I Phar Out at Glasgow School of Art. 9.30pm—1ate. £2.50. Funky night sponsored by Dr Jives and Stussy. Resident DJ Paul Cawley isjoined every week by Nick Peacock. Colin Gate from Bomba or Marc from RAID. 16 Dec. Mo Wax's RPM guesting with Alex Horton. Alan Payne and live drummers. Graffiti artist. Drinks promos.
I Rampant v Soundclash at Glasgow School of Art. 10pm—late. 30 Dec only. Glasgow's two finest sound systems battle it out over the bloodied decks.
I Beds 10.30pm—4am. £4 (£3 for students before 11.30pm). ‘Chunky funk. deeliteful disco and groovy garage!‘ With DJ Paul N'Jie. Promo beers.
I Respect in ()‘Henry‘s Basement. 8pm—midnight. Free. A blend of reggae and dub.
I Rhapsody llpm—dam. £5 (£2). A11 drinks £1.50. Hip hop. garage. house and funk.
I Rubber Soul at The Cathouse. Studio 1. 10pm—4am. £3. 60s and 70s music.
I Shag at Fury Murry's. l 1pm—4am. £4 (£3). Maintaining the legacy of the traditional student night — a rare species today.
I Slain at The Arches. 10.30pm—4am. £6. Underground. upfront. technologically- minded dance music from Stuart and Orde. the biggest names this side of Hadrian's Wall. Look out for Slam‘s Christmas Eve blow out. opening up the back of the club for the first time.
I Sonic The Indie Club at Rooftops (Secrets Lounge). 10pm—4am. £2.50 (£1.50 before 11.45pm). Indie club (it's a bit of a dead giveaway isn't it?) with £1 pints of lager on tap.
I Soundclash at The 13th Note. 8pm—midnight. Free. DJs Andy. Joe and Iain with ‘heavy dub reggae. quality techno and intoxicating electronic massage.‘
I Urban Funk at Sub Club. 11pm—4am. The DJs and musicians emanate from the ‘funky underground’ and describe themselves as having ‘more mouthwatering flavas than Opal Fruits'. 16 Dec. Goodfoot guest. 23 Dec. Urban Funk host a special Acid Jazz Magic Bus Tour night. 30 Dec. Paul Watt from M0 Jazz guests.
I Vertigo Glasgow University Student Union. 10.30pm—1ate. £2. Dance stuff from the hugely talented DJ Dominic of the Sub.

I Atmosphere at The Tuxedo Princess. 9pm—4am. £5 before 10pm with flyer. £6 after 10pm with flyer. £7 after 10pm no flyer. Hardcore techno featuring regular live acts.
I Audio lemon at The Arena. 1 lpm—4am. £6 (£4). Despite Beechams nicking their idea. the Cool Lemon guys Price. Paterson and Sleepman will grace us with their not unsubstantial housetastic skills every week from here on in.
I Bar 10 9pm—midnight. Free. Socialise to the mellow sounds of DJ Nick Peacock et al.
I Banus 10.30—4am. £7. George Bell with his upfront dance and regular guest DJs.
I Bennet’s l lpm—4am. £5. Gay. With Roddy Stewart. the busiest shopkeeper/musician/DJ around.
I Bobby Bluebell llogmanay Special at Glasgow School of Art. 10pm—late. £7 (£5). 31 Dec only. The inimitable Mr Bluebell brings in the New Year as only he knows how. Looks like the cheapest party in town tonight.
I Brunswick Cellars 8pm—midnight. Free. Toni from the Limbo Records band Havana mixing up house and garage to a capacity crowd.
