Art On imlted Mon 4 Dec-15 Jan 1995. In the 1960s, artists began applying the principles of cheap industrial and commercial processes to their own work in the effort to make art accessible to the public. As painters before them had produced pn'nts, they created multiple editions of their creations. Twenty-five years later, a new generation of artists are questioning the notion of unique art in the same way. This exhibition brings together contemporary work by Christine Borland. Damien Hirst and Jenny Holzer and some of the ground-breaking I960s pieces by Joseph Beuys. Roy Lichtenstein and Christo. Specially commissioned work is for sale, priced £10—£500. See preview. Bude’s Forgotten Genius: Sir Coldsworthy Gurney Until Fri 2 Dec. More than 50 years before the first successful petrol- driven motor cars. Gurney designed a horseless steam carriage. This touring exhibition marks 200 years since the birth of the Cornish inventor.
