Klein was a fabric designer whose wonderfully extravagant and vibrant fabrics used mohair yarn to increase the density of colour and texture. Becoming a supplier to Coco Chanel and Christian Dior it wasn't long before most major couture houses were using his designs. He also painted and this collection of small collages of paint and fabric are on display before being auctioned. Prices are estimated to range from £600 to £6000.

Bude’s Forgotten Genius: Sir Goldsvrorthy Gurney Until 2 Dec. More than 50 years before the first successful petrol-driven motor cars. Gurney designed a horseless steam carriage. This touring exhibition marks 200 years since the birth of the Cornish inventor.
