Women Onto Work
Women Onto Work runs local courses for unemployed women in Craigmillar, Greater Pilton and Wester Hailes. and in central Edinburgh for black. minority ethnic women and women with a disability. We are recruiting for 2 new posts:
Development/Trainan Worker (Part-tlme - 21 hours)
The worker will develop and deliver an information and training programme to support and consolidate our 5 local steering groups who are responsible for arranging courses.
Applicants should be experienced in training. community development work and working with groups - preferably
with women.
The post is funded for one year by Levi Strauss.
Salary: APV, Point 31 , £10,177 (21 hours)
Employment Counsellor (Part-time - 21 hours)
The worker will provide one to one and group adult guidance counselling for unemployed women taking part in Women Onto Work courses. Applicants should hold a qualification relevant to adult guidance or careers work, and have substantial experience as adult guidance practitioners.
The post is funded on an annual basis, from January to December, through the European Social Fund.
Salary:APV, Points 31-34, £10,177£1 1,117 (21 hours)
Both posts are exempt under Section 7(5)E of the Sex Discrimination Act.
