Julia Hilton's 20th century lolly, Entrances, has recently been unveiled at Paxton House near
“ .\ ' star-studded exhibition of photographs by
Berwick upon Tweed. The piece was initially built out of 6,000 untired bricks, dismantled, tired then put back together. The two 10H high curving walls were initially inspired by the stages of an
opening bud.
Glasgow. Her work was discovered by neighbour Joe Mulholland in 1969 and a friendship cultivated. This exhibition sheds new light on her work and considerable influence.

Nov—16 Dec. An exhibition of 50 original engravings from Description dc L'Egvpte. the monumental survey of Egypt. commissioned by Napoleon Bonaparte himself. Rooted in the French occupation of 1798, the effort involved 160 scientists. engineers, artists, surveyors. cartographers and men of letters, taking three years to compile and 25 years to publish.
