Support from Guru’s protege Jeru The Damaja. who has contributed guest raps to past Gang Starr material but whose solo album The Sun Rises In The East did well in its own right. and Battersea‘s MC Mell ‘O‘. a contemporary of Monte Love and The Cookie Crew who grew up with the reggae sound systems. gravitated to hip- hop and of late has been hanging around underground black poetry jam sessions with the likes of Me'Shell.
