Anne Frank in I/lt’ ll'nr/(l uses the diary of this young girl to explore not only the rise and reign of the Nazis in
Europe and the persecution of Jews. but
also the state of racism in society today. The exhibition features photographs of
' Anne and her family. and their annexe. hidden behind a bookcase. where they
lived for two years hiding from Nazis
. in ()ccupied Holland. Excerpts from Anne‘s diary help flesh out the exhibits
until her story lives easily in the imagination. But the story doesn't end with Anne. The exhibition goes on to bring the tragedy of over 40 years ago up to date by showing children other forms of fascism. alive and kicking today. The final exhibits questioning children's attitudes towards people who are ‘different‘ to themselves help them confront the issue head on. (Gabe Stewart)

Glasgow Museuaas' Annual Art Competition celebrates its 90th birthday, and this year features work selected from over 3000 entries from Strathclyde and Central Region. Ages of competitors range from five to eighteen, although most are teenagers. Jem Fraser, Head of Education, responsible for the competition, says its aim is to
