We are looking for two highly motivated people to develop fundraising activities, to initiate and organise events and to work with our volunteer network in promoting awareness of the British Heart Foundation in Scotland, thereby increasing support and generating income. The successful applicants will be good communicators, well organised and willing to work evenings/ weekends when appropriate. A basic requirement is cost effective management 0 time and resources. In close cooperation with our Scottish Office, the Area 0 anisers will work from home. Travel . throughout the Areas is important and car owners are there ore required. Mileage allowance will be paid. Previous fundraising experience is necessary and the applicants should be non smokers. Most relevant is a fundamental enthusiasm for the work of the Foundation. Based at John Muir Country Park, Longniddry Bents and Gullane Bents, your main responsibilities will include assisting visitors, providing a countryside information service to informal groups and undertaking local conservation work.
You will have a sound knowledge of the countryside and hold a clean. current driving licence. A qualification in ecology, environmental science or biology or relevant experience would be an advantage.
