GLASGOW AND EDINBURGH EVENTS GUIDE
It’s that time of year when thoughts turn to friends and family; the excitement mounts as loved ones gather from all corners of the globe to celebrate the birth ofJesus . . . and squabble over the TV handset and who gets to fill in The List Readers’ Poll of 1993.
To recap. I993 was the year that we were: introduced to the Mister Men — Reservoir Dogs" Mr Blonde, Mr Pink and Mr Orange, that is; exhorted to ‘have a smell of it’ when Reeves and Mortimer came back, successfully: offered something even better than the real thing when the U2 electronic circus came to town and then had to avert our eyes when Jim Rose’s pierced-flesh circus followed shortly after.
So assuming you’re the chosen one who has managed to secure an unspoiled ballot paper. this is your chance to take part in an annual exercise based on the democratic principle that millions have fought and

died for — one person, one vote. If the others who share your copy. don’t agree with your answers send them out to buy their own mag.
If you are the cynical type — one of the ‘what’s in it for me’ brigade — who needs an incentive to take part in the democratic process, then here it is: booksellers John Smith and James Thin have each kindly agreed to donate five £l0 shop vouchers to the cause. We will divide the completed poll entries into two huge mounds — East coast and West coast — and the first five selected from each will win a book voucher. There, is that enough incentive for you?
This year we’ve reduced the number of categories to accommodate you busy, busy readers but try to complete as much of the poll as possible (you can leave some questions blank if you wish). We will publish the poll results in our Bumper Festive Double lssuc out on 16 December.
