Mario (aspiring Latino yuppie, trying to forget his roots) gets talking to Liza (lonesome. confused thirtysomething with daughter) and her boyfriend Vince (brutish. loud, objectionable. dope- dealing man's man) in a bar. Together they head back to Vince's filthy abode and are introduced to his cancer-ridden wife. Elena.
The action starts here. with the plot taking some bizarre twists and turns. ending up going nowhere in particular. Solid performances throughout. with Consuelo Allen (Elena) easily stealing the show in this interesting. though hardly riveting. show. (Joe Lampard)

It is well-staged, melting articulate use of : the space with quick scene changes and rapid sketching-in oi historical details.
