Programme irom 0383 860153. it’s a lite on the estuary wave on Saturday as the iestival gets olt to a watery start with a regatta in Aberdour Harbour and on the Forth Estuary. Make sure you take a spare change of clothing though, as the prizes will look rather tempting, and it you don’t win the greasy pole event then it’s “water way to go’, and other such awiul puns. Sunday sees a ‘poems and pints’ evening in the Aberdour llotel, perionnances will start out casual, lyric tans, and no doubt become dlshevelled as the evening wears on. Get out that earth moving equipment tor Monday’s Sandcastle Competition on West Sands Beach (10.30am-noon), although the real competition will no doubt go on late into the
afternoon.

Wander round the cars or browse through the auto-jumble. Entertainment includes a display from the Dundee Alsation club. the City of Dundee pipe band and the Californian Repercussion band. There will also be food and other stalls as well as kids entertainment.

All the engines will have taces and the ‘troublesome trucks’ will no doubt be up to their usual mlschlei. The Fat Controller will be around to make sure things don’t get too out oi hand, although even he will have some trouble given the past antics oi Thomas and his triends. Thomas and pals will also be pulling those coaches along to Birkhlll Fireclay Mine where tor an extra £1.10 (80p) you can go down Into. the bowels oi the earth and see pre-lurasslc fossils. The liallway is open daily during the summer, with its collection oi railway buildings, equipment,
locomotives, carriages and wagons.
