I Craobh An Eolais (Scottish) 7.30—8pm. That's Gaelic for ‘Tree Of Knowledge' apparently. This somewhat hippy-dippy Gaelic culture show looks at the work of artists William McTaggart and Will McLean. with a musical contribution from Karen Matheson of the ubiquitous Capercaillie.
I Adultery: (BBC2) 9.50—lO.30pm. The bit-on-the-side documentary series concludes. with Uncle Ray Gosling canvassing the views of three women with very different experiences and attitudes to infidelity.

figure who becomes the object of bored housewife Rosanna Arquette’s obsession. Susan Seidelman‘s film is flimsy. hip and watchable. more French than Hollywood in feel.

I Crime limited (BBC 1) 8.30—9pm. Broadcasting stool pigeon Nick Ross presents another series of crime reconstructions. supposedly taking ‘a close look at the human consequences of crime' but with an eye on the huge ratings achieved by shows like America Tr Most Wanted.

Michael Moore's blackiy comic and poignant documentary tracing his pursuit of General Motors executive Roger Smith. in an attempt to elicit some response to the devastation Smith had caused by his decision to close eleven plants in Flint. Michigan. Maybe Moore can be persuaded to do a similar film about Rosyth.

reprieved Take The High Road. but no such luck for Eldo. Don‘t expect to see all the characters wiped out in a blazing holocaust however. as these independent production companies like to leave their options open.

She plays a junkie punk hoodlurnette. enlisted by the government to train as an undercover assassin (title of the imminent Hollywood remake incidentally). Not exactly cerebral stuff but action-packed. with excellent lingerie throughout. and a cut above the badly-dubbed video release.

Americans aged between I9 and 25 who have been accommodated by the TV crew in a luxury New York loft and told to get on with their lives.

I Nature: Exhausted (BBC2) 8—8.3()pm. Seventy years ago it was almost unknown for people to be admitted to hospital for asthma. Today it is the most common cause of admission for small children and 2000 people die in the UK as a result of it. Unpublished research suggests that asthma can be triggered by traffic pollution.

melodramatic storylines.

He plays a naive cleric sent among the fallen women of Edwardian London. with whom he strikes up a physical bond or several. A selection of comic set-pieces rather than a coherent whole but enjoyable nonetheless.
