I Cheers (Channel 4) 9.30— 10pm. It came to an end last Sunday. now roll on repeats ad infinitum. Tonight the late. great Coach falls in love with lrene. while Sam falls in lust with her daughter Sue.

I Clive Anderson Talks Back (Channel 4) 10.30—1 l.l0pm. More bickering banter with the baldy barrister.
I Extreme Prejudice (Scottish) l0.40pm—l2.35am. Walter Hill's typically no-nonsense. action-packed thriller stars Nick Nolte as a dedicated Texas Ranger aiming to eliminate drugs baron and old buddy Powers Boothe. Echoes of T/it‘ Wild Bunch are fairly prevalent.
I later With Jools Holland (BBCZ) ll.l5pm-12.05am. The groovy fella is joined by critically-acclaimed combo The Auteurs. Tanya Donnelly's mighty Belly and Mexico‘s Maldita. not to mention smooth soulsters Charles And Eddie.

I Camera 0i Courage: A Tribute To Juris Podnielts. (Channel 4) 8—9pm. The Latvian filmmaker who died in a diving accident a year ago left a body of work that is an extraordinary record of the changes in the Soviet Union and a tribute to the resilience of the Latvian people.
I Westbeach (BBC 1 ) 9.05—9.55pm. The seaside power struggle reaches its final episode. Alan Cromer learns about the future of the old holiday camp site. while Simon returns to town ready to make up his quarrel with his father.
I Cinema! Cinema!: Volere Volare (Channel 4) l().3()pm—l2.2()am. Maurizio Nichetti's inventive mix of animation and live action follows the romantic tribulations of sound engineer Nichetti‘s love affair with the intimidating Angela Finocchiara. The problem is his penchant for occasionally rnetarnorphosing into a cartoon character.

I The Next Big Thing (Channel 4) 5.30—6pm. The fortunes of aspiring singer-songwriter Leona Naess (whose
dad just happens to be married to Diana Ross) are examined as she develops her songs in a studio to prepare a tape for her rnanager
I Masterchel (BBCI ) 5.35—6. IOpm. The snooty food show continues its pseudish run. with resident horror Loyd Grossman joined by guestjudges Stephen Fry and Josceline Dimbleby.
I Frontline (Channel 4) 8.30—9pm. A new series of first-person current affairs reports opens with Jann Turner‘s account of her return to South Africa fifteen years after seeing her father — a white liberal — murdered.
I Jeeves And Wooster (Scottish) ‘)—l()pm. Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie play the eponymous characters in the last of the Wodehouse adaptations. with Bertie thrilled by the imminent marriage of Madeline Bassett and Sir Roderick Spode. I lady Chatterley (BBC I ) 9.35—l().30pm. Sean Bean. Joely Richardson and James Wilby star in the third episode of Ken Russell's TV adaptation of the notorious I). H. Lawrence novel. Connie’s marriage is under increasing pressure and her passion for Mellors is out ofcontrol.

I Wimbledon 93 (BBC!) noon-8pm. Prepare yourself for 120 TV hours worth of overpaid. overseas superstars battering the ball at each other for hours at a time. Last year at least had the unexpected bonus of Andre Agassi. a player with a spark of personality. winning the Men‘s Singles. Injuries permitting. he'll be back to defend the title. with challenges frotn top Yanks Satnpras and Courier. and the Wimbledon-loving Boris Becker. In the Ladies Singles it's difficult to see beyond Steffi Graf. unless it's tenth time around for Navratilova. Saturation coverage on BBC2. with highlights and early evening matches on BBC i.

I TV Heroes: Barbara Woodhouse (BBCl ) 8.50—9pm. Danny Baker pays tribute to the mad old biddy who became a TV cult with her dog-training programmes in l979. She was never cruel to the dogs. but boy did she give the owners a hard time.
I Trial And Error (Channel 4) 9—iOpm. David Jesse! presents an investigation of the case of Mark Cleary. convicted with another youth of the abduction and murder ofa ten-year-old boy in I985. Investigations have shown the evidence to be highly unreliable.
I The Golden Palace (Channel 4) l()—l().3()pm. Hotel guests. the Daughters ()fThe Traditional South. are more ‘traditional' than the hotel staffcan handle.
I Sin With Bruce Morton (Channel 4) l().30pm—l 1.05am. Brucie tackles the topic of anger in the final part of his likeable stand-up show.

I The Travel Show (BBC2) 8.30—9pm. Penny Junor returns with the twelfth series of the consumer-oriented holiday show. In the first programme Carol Smillie visits Sicily. and Paddy Haycocks checks out the Tate Gallery in St lves.
I Tell Tale (Scottish) 9—lOpm. The final episode in the drama about a criminal who turns supergrass. The pressure of looking after Billy and Doreen Hodge is beginning to affect the home lives of their police minders. Starring Bernard Hill. Nigel Harrison and Rachel Davies.
I A Bit or Pry And Laurie (BBC2) 9-9.30pm. No sooner has their lTV series finished than Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie smart-talk their way back on to the small screen in a repeat of their sketch series.
I Under The Sun: Dreams From The Forest (BBC2) 9.35—l0.20pm. No. not the last days of Brian Clough. but a report on the Mehinacu tribe in the Xingu reserve in Central Brazil. Dreams. myths and rituals form a vital part of their way of life. but now their existence is threatened by interference from the white man.
I Sylvania Waters (BBCl ) 9.35—10.05pm. The Aussie fly-on-the- wall saga continues. Michael’s birthday party is cancelled after a big row with Laurie and Noeline about potential gate- crashers.
I Emo Phillips: Comedian And Mammal (Channel 4) 10.40—1 1.25pm. Long time no hear from the geeky lunatic from the States. This is an old show. but worth treasuring all the same for his inimitable brand of idiot-comedy.

I Scottish International (Scottish) 7—7.30pm. An off-beat look at France continues with a visit to the organic vegetable market in Alsace. and an interview with Scottish Bluebell dancer Lisa Cameron.
I Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman (Scottish) 8—9pm. Jane Seymour stars as Dr Michaela Quinn. patching 'em up on the American frontier in the 1860s. and troubled by the return of the errant husband of her friend Charlotte.
I Europe Express (Channel 4) 8—8.30pm. The continental news series with reports from Isabella Stasi Castriota in Rome. Stefan Rybar in Prague and Klaus Schwagrzinna in Berlin.
I Cheers (Channel 4) 9.30—lOpm. Coach is still in love. and his wife-to-be hasjust won 52 million in a lottery. What can go wrong? Stoopid question.
