Despite the comparative smallness of the venue (a sociable three hundred or so capacity in the main area and adjacent chill- out) the organisers plan to

I Clubscene have again put back the Scottish
to a Couple of bands not being able to make it on 29 May as planned. and I've also been told that a certain Music TV station (answers on a postcard) may well be there on the day. The new date for the award show with more false starts than the Grand National is to be 12 June and we'll be having a full run down on the event nearer the time.
I Madlsons is no more
following suit and shutting its doors for good. with a new restaurant (just what Edinburgh needs) and new management offices planned to take over the venues above Edinburgh’s Playhouse.
I The Blue Oyster Club in Edinburgh has also closed its doors. which was not due to managers wanting bigger desks. but to the fire in the club a couple of weeks ago. caused by an electrical fault (that‘s the official story anyway). It will be cIOsed for the unforseeable future — not too long we hope.
I l-Rezerection have another lngliston All- nighter in the pipeline. the date in question being 2‘) May. with confirmed PAs N-Joi and SL2. MCs Lenny and Sneeky Eye with confirmed DJs Joey Beltram. Grooverider. Bass Generator. Rap. Marc Smith and Ss. Ticket prices are £23.50 available from the usual outlets and we‘ll give you more details as soon as we get them.
I Acid Jan will be descending upon Edinburgh's Venue on 24 May. Bands on the night will be the excellent Mother Earth and Corduroy. with the DJ line-up yet to announced.

The most excellent Flow has re-surfaced at last and those who caught any of Craig and Clyde‘s previous events under that name will know it's something to look forward to. Acid house in the main hall and a dub funk chill-out with the wonderful Blue Juice Productions should combine to produce a very refreshing and altemative night out. Classy fliers too! Not to be missed.

'Glasgow‘s least expensive student night‘ with DJ Michelle and friends supplying the music and. presumably. countless units of beer (£1 only on launch night) supplying the ‘conviviality'. Guest DJ on 30 Apr appears to be someone called ‘Bob' . . . we're told he‘s quite well known in the West End.
