Once a museum for the working class, now a repository for all sorts of ephemera connected with Glasgow’s history — everything from old cigarette packets to suffragettes' campaigning material. Glasgow’s Good News: 500 Years of the Archdiocese oi Glasgow Until 17 Jan. An exhibition charting the course of Catholicism in Glasgow since 1492 — when the city was elevated to archdiocese status - focusing on education, the effects of Irish immigration and the changing patterns of devotion.

Thomas McGoran: Halt a Kitchen An appropriate venue for McGoran's paintings recalling his childhood in an East End tenement. McGoran took up painting five years ago, on his retirement from the railways.

Read my Lips: New York AIDS Poiemics Until 1 Dec. For the first time outside America, this large, multi-media show coordinates some of the world‘s artistic responses to AIDS, with contributions i from collectives like Gran Fury and Act i Up. and individuals Holzer, Moffett, Wojnariwicz and others. A programme of debates accompanies the show.
