Moths Fri 23 and Sat 24 Oct. 7.30pm. £5—£6 (£2.50—£3). Martin Lynch‘s play, set in a Belfast graveyard. examines the Troubles from the perspective of six very different characters. This production, by Citywide Community Theatre Company, is the result of a six-month project involving the playwright. Glaswegian director Lenny Mullan and twenty unemployed people from Belfast. Part of the New Irish Theatre festival.

With an array of characters including prostitutes, ‘Blueshirts', gunmen and pillars of society. Behan sends up politics. religion and mortality with characteristic gusto.

Stephen MacDonald directs, designs and stars in his own award-winning play about First World War poets Wilfred Owen and Siegfried Sassoon. Colin Wells also stars. The script has been slightly rewritten for this production. which works as a powerful condemnation of war. See review.
