Has any other sharp-cared List reader noticed that in the Scottish Nuclear Power ‘bring a two-headed sheep to see the reactor‘ advert. the one with the moles. all the music is acoustic. So it does not require electricity!
Also. in BBC‘s Radio Scotland adverts. (where in the country can you wake up to all the latest news. . .‘ etc.) the quote‘. . . the distinctive flavour of Scottish music. . .‘ is followed by a jolly accordion tune.
case of best club/worst venue. A good crowd saw the night through to 6am. but suffered so little oxygen that matches and lighters would not light anywhere in the space! Staining water dripped from the roof. The female toilets flooded. Many people had clothes ruined by damp paint from the walls. I would recommend that if The List are going to advertise further nights at the venue a health warning is issued with each listing. Derek Nile

The club scene has broken down many social barriers. Attitudes like those of the bounce rs (who have been on the door of more than this club) will instil bad faith and set us back to the days of the gang fights outside Tiffany‘s and Ultrateque in the late 70s. [don‘t think anyone wants this to happen. lwon‘t name the club as the problem is with the security. not the club management. Alexander Nelson

Writing for an underground dance magazine in London I came up to see if the Scottish dance scene lived up to its reputation. I visited the Blast Off
