Most people knew that Jeremy Irons played twins in David Cronenberg’s Dead Ringers. The iirst prize winner at tickets to see Cronenberg’s latest, The Naked Lunch, at the Cameo, Edinburgh, as well as a baseball cap and a copy oi the William Burroughs novel was Rachel Campbell (Edinburgh). Runners up, getting caps and books, were Alastair Mackenzie (Glasgow), Lesley Harkness (Polmont), Renato Lucchesi and Amanda Milllgan-Richard (both Edinburgh).
Lots oi winners in our second Maytest competition lor which you needed to know that Glasgow's spring lestlval has been going tor ten years. The lirsl prize at six ceilldh tickets went to Angus MacKenzie (Jordanhill). The musical, captured on lilm in 1964, is a reworking by Alan Jay Learner and Frederick Loewe oi George Bernard Shaw's rags-to-rlches social comedy Pygmalion and teatures hits like ‘The Rain in Spain’ and ‘Wouldn’t it be Loverly’.
