I The Travel Show Guides (BBC2) 6.05—6.35pm. You can tell it‘s winter when the travel programmes come thick and fast. Penny Junor introduces this new series aiming to go a bit deeper than the usual gloss. The first destination is Florida. for a look at the varied attractions ofthe Sunshine State.
I Whiclter Way Out West (Channel 4) 8—8.31)pm. The first of five repeats from Whicker‘s classic 1973 series. delvinginto the eccentricities ofCaIifornians. The first show looks at the dollars and doloursof the plastic surgery industry.
I London's Burning (Scottish) 8.45—9.45pm. The Blue Watch team in more fire-fighting adventures at the London station. this week called to a hotel fire where escape routes are blocked.
I Jute City(BBCl ) 9. 15—10. 15pm. The answers begin to fall into place in the final episode of David Kane‘s mystery thriller starring David ()‘I Iara. Caroline Roth and John Sessions. , I Rebels With A Cause: A Face In The Crowd (Channel4) Ill—12.20am. The 50s Hollywood season continues with a cautionary tale about the powerof television as a performer turns megalomaniac. Terry Wogan stars. Er. make that Andy Griffiths stars.
I Changing Step (BBCZ) 10.15—1 1 .45pm. A repeat showing for Antony Sher‘s award-winning play set in a Scottish convalescent hospital during the First World War. The play follows the relationship between two newcomers to the hospital. Private James Ross and Lady Alice Napier. It‘s an ambitious piece covering class collision and disability among its themes.
I The South Bank Show (Scottish) 10.35—11.35pm. A profile of Dame Vera Lynn. bless her. Couldn't have won the war without her and all that.
I Dance Energy (BBCZ) 6.45—7. 15pm. The male Amanda De Cadenet. Normski. gets you back on the floor.

the easy-going Scottish sitcom that has proved remarkany enduring. Gerard Kelly stars as failed writer Willie Melvin. returning from a three-month stay in London to find that things have changed in his absence.
I Little Shop Di Honors ( BBCZ) 8.30—10pm. A black comedy horror musical (a hitherto unexplored genre) starring Rick Moranis and Ellen Greene as flower-shop employees taking delivery of some flesh~eating flora from outer space. Camp. over-the-top. but plenty enjoyable.
I Cutting Edge: Home Fires (Channel 4)
9— 10pm. A year after the events. the documentary team looks at the Gulf War through the eyes of the wives and mothers of servicemen. It includes footage of video Valentines sent by the troops. and the ‘just in case‘ letters they wrote to their loved ones.
I Rumpole 0t The Bailey (Scottish) 9—10pm. The fat brief is being bullied by She Who Must Be Obeyed into takinga cruise to the Adriatic.
I Naked Video (BBC2) 10—10.30pm. The comedy team plough the same furrows they‘ve been doing for years, to occasionally amusing effect. Tonight Elaine C. Smith impersonates Oprah Winfrey.

I The Time Tunnel (Channel 4) 6—7pm. As luck would have it. Tony and Dougget caught up in a battle between Ghenghis Khan and Kublai Khan. which suggests their machine has developed a serious anachronism fault.
I Focal Point (BBCt ) fir—8.30pm. Return of the punchy documentary series. opening with an investigation of an acutely psychotic man who was pronounced safe by a psychiatrist only two days before he killed his wife.
