Designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and now home to archive material on education in Scotland from 1872 onwards. Reconstructed classrooms give a flavour of Victorian. Edwardian. Second World War and 605 schooldays. Activities for children include a collection of old games which can be hired for 50p and played with in the school‘s playground.

Windfall ’91 Until Sun 25 Aug. The artistic highlight of Glasgow‘s year - 26 artists from six European countries have spent an intensive and creative month filling some 30 exhibition spaces in a large buildingdue to be demolished. Windfall '91 includes installation and time~based photographic and performance work. It is the third project of its kind. the first took place in London‘s Hyde Park and the second in the docklands of Bremen. Germany.
