Boo-er. it's Shall I D-i-s-c-o Serious bad taste warning! The dreaded 70$ revival moves one step closer on Fri 3 May. with the launch of Shaft (oooerr missus!) at Edinburgh's Moray House Student Union. An irregular one-nighter. this aims to re-create a lurid Saturday Night Fever atmosphere but with a soundtrack of funk and urban jazz rather than dodgy disco. As may be spotted from Rebecca Marr‘s photo however. sartorial elegance is not an altogether important consideration — so dig out those platform soles. the hipsters. the lurex. the body glitter and get funky!
