New Art tor a New Decade Until 9 Apr. In the 1980s. contemporary Scottish artists caught the collective eye ofart critics around the world and painters like William McTaggart. Anne Redpath and Joan Eardley were the subjects ofmajor retrospective exhibitions. In this show the Fine Art Society makes predictions about the 1990s: possible new leadinglights include Bet Low. Alberto Morrocco and Kate Robinson.
Alexander Mann 1853-1908 Sat 13 Apr—14 May. Like other Glasgow Boys based in Paris. Mann was drawn to the plein air painting of the naturalist school. for which he received great acclaim. A wealthy background ensured that there was no pressure on him to sell and the pictures in this exhibition have never before been exhibited.
