The single ‘Reach the Rock‘ is a fairly uninspired piece of reggaebilly posturing which has been dealt a lukewarm reception by most, but the eponymous album hot on its heels better stands up to expectations.

Tonight‘s sell-out may prove to be a tougher test than the highly favourable rave atmosphere at their pre-Christmas Plaza bash, but The Soup Dragons pulled it off at Barrowland. so why not the old (farm) hands? Support band Top resurrect Merseybeat and melody in an effort to confirm Liverpool‘s regained musical stature.
