I Close Lobsters and Perspex White Out King Tut‘s Wah Wah Hut. 272a St Vincent Street. 221 5279. 10pm. £3.50. First gig for the new Close Lobsters line-up. but they‘re still sure to be pumping out their neat indie pop tunes — nothing startlingly original. but pretty groovy nonetheless. SATURDAY 26 Glasgow
I EMF and Stereo MCs King Tut‘s Wah Wah Hut. 272a St Vincent Street. 221 5279. 9.30pm. SOLD OUT. EMF-fever sweeps a nation as the naughty boy scouts from the soon-to-be-hip West Midlands sell out every (far too) small venue quicker than you can say what theirinitials stand for. Thank goodness that the records make it all worthwhile: the poppier-than-thou Jesus Jones pastiche of ‘Unbelievable‘ and the current belter ‘1 Believe'. even busier and more infectious than its predecessor.
