Spot the light: using your skill and judgement, simply place an ‘X' where you think the next light will break out. NB Members ol Ayr Raiders ice hockey team areinelegant.
So tar this season the hype surrounding the rebirth 01 Ice hockey in Glasgow has
been pointless. Pointless lor lourteen matches, that is. In a glorious and lucky result last week, however,
Glasgow Summit Saints stopped the rot
and gave theirlemale boss something to smile about at last, alter they scrambled an 8—7 win away to Medway.
Things are looking up torthem, as they can only do when you are at the bottom. Canadian Terry McCutcheon shot a hat-trick and was credited with tour assists when he made his debut, albeit on the losing side, against Slough. They will soon lace a sterner test at their mettle though, when they entertain their lormer ‘lodgers’, Ayr Raiders, in the Scottish Cup. Ayr, who brielly topped the Heineken Premier League, should be on course to cull theirlormer hosts, ‘We could beat
them - without even turning up’, as one
spokesman torthem put It.’
Summit Saints can take solace lrom the lixtures that Ayr have to contend with around their cup clashes. 0n
