One of the many attractions in Glasgow‘s Glasgow is a changing programme of performances by a special in-house company. Scripts are by Andy Arnold and music has been written by Vivian Stanshall of the Bonzo Dog Doodah Band.

BigTime Theatre is a new company set up to extend the range of work performed in Glasgow while remaining as accessible and popular as the city's established community theatres. Despite being one ofRomania‘s most popular plays. Vlad Dracula the Impaler by Marin Sorescu has only once been performed in Britain and this is its Scottish premiere. It's a bright and breezy black comedy set in the 15th century, but with a sharp contemporary comment on the excesses of the Ceausescu regime. Owen Thomas directs.

Potentially a different play every night, as the outcome ofAlan Ayckbourn's comedy depends on the flip of a coin at various points throughout the performance. It is the story oftwosisters, but the emphasis of the drama can go either way. Second year DDA students gamble their way through the play.

Fablevision has moved into Ruchazie, the housing estate in Greater Easterhouse, to creat a massive Hollywood musical set in which a cast of 400 local people perform amidst spectacular visual effects. gigantic puppets, parades, dancing and music. The show tells the tale ofthe people of Ruchazie, from Glasgow slum to modern housing estate.
