to help develop her skills in creating new and innovative theatre. Her play follows a series of mysterious events sparked off by the disappearance of the local drama teacher.

The final two of three all-day workshops is led by Iain Heggie and aimed at experienced writers and those who have already attended Traverse Writers Workshops. Hugo's Voices Thurs 23 Nov. 7pm. £1 (50p). Jim Gracie explores the boundries between reality and imagination in his new play read by Edinburgh Playwrights Workshop. Lunch will be followed by a discussion.
Amid the Alien Corn Thurs 30 Nov. 7pm. £1 (50p). Edinburgh Playwrights‘ Workshop gives a first reading to Christina J. Finlayson‘s play about a girl‘s ambition to work in the theatre. Panto Stuart Hepburn has written one of the several Green Christmas shows around this year and it promises to be a boisterous alternative to the more traditional seasonal fare.
