CHOICE GATHERING

Danny McGraln, one of Celtic and Scotland’s finest ever lull-backs, was never one to shlrk a challenge. Thus when theLillie Art Gallery in Milngavle suggested he choose ten works at art to be shown In their forthcoming exhibition ‘Take Your Plck', he was delighted to comply. ‘i'd never really done anything like this before, it was a brand new experience for me.’ As ior his choice, ‘l suppose it's the old cliche, liust chose what I like. They were different things - some still tiles and some crazy ones as well. I didn't go for any particular style, probably 'ceuse i wouldn't really imow which one to go lor.’

The show, which will appear at Paisley, Dumlries, Ayr and Kilmarnock, is an imaginative example of subjective preferences in art. For lens at McGrein, who have cheered his Inclslve tackling irom the terraces during his long and successlul career, it will provide an unexpected opportunity to examine his particular artistic preferences.
