Cranhill Mural The Centre now boasts Cranhill‘s brightest wall thanks to a new mural painted by the Bellrock Unemployed Group (aged 15—30) in collaboration with artist Lesley Burr. It depicts various club activities like pool. weightlifting and badminton as well as landscapes. cartoons and science fiction images.

19th and 20th Century Paintings and Contemporary Works. The Gallery will have a mixed showing of 19th and 20th century paintings from stock as well as work by contemporary artists.

The Colour of Your Voice Until 12 August. Experimental photographs using multiple exposures of the same negative are displayed by Oladele Bamgboye. a graduate in Chemical Engineering from Strathclydc University. Surrealist sculpture from Annie Cattrell using such diverse materials as padded silk and rough cast cement and richly coloured paintings from Anne Elliot comprise the work from three Scottish artists on show.
After this the Gallery will be closed for refurbishment until ZO/SO opens on 18 September. featuring limestone and steel sculptures from Michael Quane and decorative etchings inspired by early Italian and Byzantine art from Mary Rose O‘Neill.

Cyril Gerber has scoured last month‘s Degree Shows in Scotland‘s four Art Schools to find works from graduates that he believes ought to be exhibited here. After this there will be a display of contemporary Scottish painting and prints until plans for the next exhibition are finalised.

Frank O'Meara and his Contemporaries 12 Aug—5 Sept. An exhibition of the French rural scenes executed by the 19th century exiled Irishman. Also on show are works by John Lavery. R.A.M. Stevenson. William Stott of Oldham and John Singer Sargent who were all to be found in Paris around the same time.
