Festival Iivents range from concerts to cookery demonstrations. football matches to water-skiing. and there are forty or so different happenings every day of the Festival. Some ofthe best entertainment is to be had from the spontaneous street theatre and other rovingentertainments which happen anywhere and everywhere on the Garden Festival site. The more structured events are staged in the special events areas or in the restaurants and cafes. It is safe to assume that there is always something going on. I Tickets Garden Festival day tickets cost £5; £4 for full time students. unemployed and OAPs: £2.51) for children from 5- 16 years and free for under-fives. Once you are inside everything is free except the thrill ride. Families can get a special Family Day Ticket (2 adults and up to 3 children) for£14.50. Multi-DayTickcts allow you two visits on any two days and cost £9; £7 and £4 concessions. Season tickets allow access at any time and cost £45 (adult) and £22.51) (child). Discounts are also available on group tickets (to be purchased in advance).
I Getting there Scotrail do inclusive fares from most parts of Scotland. The price ofa return ticket from Edinburgh. including the fare on the lowlcvel train from Glasgow Central Station to the SECC entrance and admission to the Garden Festival is £8.11iadultszf4 children:£5.25 Senior Citizen Railcard holders; £6.05 Family Railcard holders (plus £3 per child). Scottish Citylink are running special buses from Edinburgh to the Festival. They leave St Andrews Square bus station at 8am. 9am. 10am. and Ham and leave from the Garden Festival at 3pm.4pm. 5pm and 6pm. seven days a week. £8 return including entrance to the festival.
