(ilasgow and Edinburgh both produce national newspapers (the Glasgow Herald and The Scotsman respectively) and traditionally local readership is fiercely divided. The rivalry will be intensified shortly when The .S'colsman produces its new quality Sunday. entitled Scotland on Sunday. due to be launched on 7 August. Local evening papers. The Evening Times in Glasgow and the Evening News in Edinburgh are sister papers to the Herald and Scotsman.
