The role of Keir Hardie in the history or the labour movement up to the rounding of the Scottish Labour Party will be examined in a one-day conference ‘Chartism To lndependant Labour: Scotland 1838-88' on Saturday 26th March. The discussion on the development or unionism and its effects on the working classes takes place in the Mitchell Library Conference Room, Kent Road, Glasgow.
