Anyone with any sense would have visited the Madison: venue last Edinburgh Festival because. occupying Liberty's function room on the lirst floor. was the nippy Club Sandino, supplying Latin and Jazz from the moonlighting Wortting Weett- DJs-and impromptu cabaret from, amongst others, a Broadway Dance Troupe and - Bless ma apples and peers- young Lotty- what more could you want? the problem. a conscientious stall sitting through the crowds that turn up. Gerry Thomson. the General Manager, says thatslnce the revamp Madison: have had to turn away more than they admit- this seem: to be the right wayto gain the right crowd.
Also in the venue’s lavour are ex-DJ: trom the Amphitheatre and Cinderella: to mate the evening: go with a swing - it you can't last the pace, very comfy coucheslor gouchers.
Theme nights tor the Banking iratemlty and Doctor: and horses are occasional features which entice people to try the new-loolt place out and hopefully be impressed enough to come back.
In the near tuture. a Christmas Eve party is planned with guest appearances amongst other attractions and. loolrlng forward to the 1988 Edinburgh Festival, strong indications are that the
