After a two-year gap the tousled troubadour returns to these shores with the news that, despite the adulation he inspires over here, his record sales, in America at least, have actually declined. That shouldn’t bother the devoted audience of this part-beatnik part-bum, who will, with some justification, regard this as the gig of the fortnight.
