A Glasgow Print Studio, Glasgow There are no surprises in the winners line-up in the Scottish Print Open hosted by Glasgow Print Studio this year. Pete Howson's Noble Dosser, Adrien Wiszniewski’s Circus, Olivia Irvine‘s Glorious Hot Rain, Peter Wilson’s Natural Lesson 3, and Elspeth Lamb’s Sulas Dream take the live £250 prizes.
A linal count of 382 made it the biggest entry ever. 50 of those were selected by Keith Hartley, William Packer (Financial Times) and Rosemary Miles (V&A) to make up the

John McKechnie ol the Print Studio feels that the event illustrates the changing attitudes to printmaking today. ‘I don’t rememberthere being so many monoprints and the prints are more painterly. People are loosening up and not sticking so rigidly to the rules of printmaking.’ All the prizewinners bar one are better known as painters than printmakers.
